Amongst the winners at the 2013 National Railway Heritage Awards when they were announced at Merchant Taylors’ Hall on Wednesday 4 December 2013 was Transport for London for the work undertaken at Crystal Palace station in south London. The work, which included improving access for the disabled to the platforms, was given the Operational Enhancement Award sponsored by London Underground. The plaque was officially unveiled at the station by Mike Stubbs, Managing Director of London Overground, at a ceremony held on Wednesday 24 September 2014.
